Request Account and Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your account and associated data in Semutway (the "app"), developed by Jowin Roslan. This information is provided in line with our store listing and data practices.

How to Request That Your Account Be Deleted

To request deletion of your account and associated data, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Semutway app (mobile or web) with your email and password.
  2. Open your Profile (e.g. from the menu or account settings).
  3. Find the "Delete account" or "Delete my account" section.
  4. Enter your current password and type the required confirmation phrase (e.g. DELETE MY ACCOUNT) when prompted.
  5. Confirm the action. Your account will then be deactivated and marked for deletion in line with our process below.

If you cannot sign in (e.g. you forgot your password), use the Forgot password link on the login screen to reset it, then follow the steps above. If you still cannot access your account, contact us via the link below and we will assist you with your deletion request.

What Data Is Deleted and What Is Kept

When you request account deletion:

  • Deleted / no longer used for your account: Your ability to sign in is permanently removed. Your account is deactivated and your personal data (e.g. name, email, phone, profile details, and other account-linked information) is processed for deletion and no longer used to provide you services.
  • Retention for legal and operational purposes: We may retain certain records (e.g. in anonymised or de-identified form, or where required by law) for a limited period for legal, tax, fraud prevention, or operational reasons. Such retained data is not used to identify you or to provide you services.

Retention period: Where we retain data for legal or operational reasons, we keep it only for as long as necessary (typically as required by applicable law or our internal policies, after which it is deleted or anonymised).
